What types of projects do you specialize in?
We specialize in full-home renovations, kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, condo renovations, furnishings projects, and multi-room transformations. Many of our clients come to us because they want a cohesive vision and a single team guiding the project from start to finish.
Is there a minimum project size?
Most renovation projects begin around $30,000 in construction investment. During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, budget, and scope to determine whether we’re the right fit for your project.
How is Lugbill Designs different from other design firms?
We combine interior design, renovation planning, contractor coordination, project management, and furnishings under one roof. Our team has spent more than 15 years refining a process designed to reduce stress, improve communication, and help projects stay organized from concept through completion.
Do I have to use your contractors?
No. Many clients choose to work with our network of trusted contractors and tradespeople, but we’re also happy to collaborate with contractors you already know and trust. Our process is flexible and can be tailored to your needs.
What is the first step?
We begin with a complimentary in-home consultation. We’ll walk through your space, discuss your goals, review budget expectations, and answer questions about the process. From there, we’ll provide guidance on next steps and whether we’re a good fit to work together.
Will you help me stay within budget?
Yes. Budget discussions are integrated throughout our process. Before construction begins, we develop a detailed scope of work, obtain contractor pricing, price materials, and present a comprehensive budget spreadsheet so you can make informed decisions before moving forward.
Do you manage the renovation?
Yes. We coordinate vendors, review installations, conduct site visits, answer contractor questions, resolve issues, and oversee the countless details that come with a renovation. Our goal is to make a complex process feel organized and manageable.
Can you help with furnishings and decor too?
Absolutely. Many clients hire us for both renovation and furnishings. We source furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork, window treatments, and accessories, then coordinate installation and final styling to create a finished home that feels complete.
Where do you work?
We primarily serve homeowners throughout Chicago and the North Shore, including Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Ravenswood, Andersonville, Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Glencoe, Highland Park, Northbrook, Glenview, and surrounding communities.
Most clients come to me with an incomplete vision for their home. My goal is to complete it, then exceed what they thought was possible.
