West Loop Condo Renovation in Greektown

A Chicago condo renovation focusing on the primary and powder bathroom, new flooring, and furnishings throughout the home.

Located in Chicago’s Greektown neighborhood near the West Loop restaurant scene, this project focused on updating key areas of the condo while creating a cohesive aesthetic across the living spaces, bedrooms, and bathrooms.  It features warm neutrals and bold accents to create a refined home.

The work included a full redesign of the primary bathroom, updated flooring throughout the home, and new furnishings and decorative elements in the living room, bedroom, office, and guest bath.

Project Overview

Location: West Loop (Greektown), Chicago
Project Type: Condo renovation and interior design

Key design-build project elements included:

  • A redesigned primary bathroom with custom vanity and linen storage
  • New wood flooring in bedrooms and hallway areas
  • Updated furnishings and layout for the living room and office
  • Custom window treatments installed on ceiling-mounted tracks
  • Decorative lighting and layered finishes in the guest bathroom

The goal was to create a home that feels cohesive, comfortable, and well organized while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Primary Bathroom Renovation

A custom double vanity anchors the room with a clean, streamlined profile. The cabinetry incorporates multiple storage solutions, including shallow drawers designed for smaller personal items and deeper drawers below for everyday bathroom essentials.

A tall linen cabinet with frosted glass doors maximizes vertical usable space, and provides additional vertical storage

Together, these elements significantly increase the bathroom’s storage capacity while maintaining a calm and organized appearance.

Tile and Material Design

Tile layout plays an important role in defining the bathroom’s visual character.

The shower uses two complementary tile orientations: horizontally installed rectangular tile across the back wall and larger vertically installed tile on the side walls. This contrast introduces subtle geometric variation.

Brass hardware and plumbing fixtures contrast the cabinetry and tile, creating balance across the room.

Storage and Cabinetry

Storage was a key priority in this bathroom remodel.
The vanity includes double sinks and multiple drawer configurations to keep everyday items organized. The adjacent linen cabinet adds both concealed storage and display through frosted glass upper doors.

These cabinetry elements allow the bathroom to function comfortably while keeping countertops uncluttered.

Living Room and Main Living Area

The living room furnishings were selected to create a comfortable and visually balanced space within the open condo layout.

A large piece of artwork anchors the seating area while introducing scale and visual presence. Furnishings were arranged to support conversation while maintaining clear circulation between the living area, kitchen, and entry.

Accent pieces such as mirrors and console tables help reflect light and visually expand the space.

The result is a living area that feels layered and inviting while maintaining a clean contemporary look.

Bedroom Design

Layered blue tones in the bedding and textiles introduce a quiet contrast, bringing depth and softness to the room’s otherwise neutral palette.

Ceiling-mounted curtain tracks allow drapery panels to extend from floor to ceiling, helping emphasize the height of the room.

Guest Bathroom Design

The guest bathroom introduces additional personality through wallpaper and decorative lighting. Funky, patterned wall coverings line the walls of this room and extend across sections of each wall.Updated lighting fixtures and mirror selections help elevate the room while maintaining a practical layout for everyday use.

Flooring and Interior Updates

Flooring updates lend to refreshed spaces across several rooms in the condo.

Existing carpet in the bedrooms and hallway areas was replaced with engineered wood flooring to match the main living area. This change creates a more cohesive flow throughout the home while improving durability and maintenance.

New shoe base trim was also installed and painted to match existing baseboards, ensuring the flooring transition appears seamless across rooms.
